Abstract

The maternal mortality rate is an indicator of maternal well-being from pregnancy to postpartum. According to
2017 World Health Organization (WHO) data, in developing countries the maternal mortality rate was
462/100,000 live births. Even though the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target for 2030 is to reduce the
MMR to 70/100,000 live births. This research design uses a case study. The location of this research was carried
out at the Independent Practice of Midwife Eka Santi. P., S.Tr.Keb, Central Lampung. The time for carrying out
this case study is 06 February 2023 to 31 March 2023. The subjects used in this study were pregnant women whose
gestational age was 37 weeks 5 days. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. In data collection
techniques, researchers used triangulation techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The
results of comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. Y pregnancy visits were carried out 9 times. During the third
trimester of pregnancy there were no complaints, spontaneous labor was not accompanied by complications, the
newborn was normal, the postpartum period was normal and the contraceptive implant was to be used. The care
that has been provided has several gaps with theory, and researchers have provided counseling. After providing
midwifery care to Mrs. Y it can be concluded that pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, postpartum and family
planning are normal without any complications. The results of this comprehensive midwifery care are expected to
provide optimal and quality services according to patient needs.
